Commissioners to Hold Friday Evening Public Forum on Media Ownership
The NAACP, Media Alliance, the Youth Media Council, and Free Press are sponsoring an FCC hearing on media ownership at the Oakland Marriott, this Friday, October 27th starting at 5pm. Two FCC commissioners will be in attendance to hear comments from local broadcasters, listeners and media activists as they debate new ownership rules that would allow big media corporations to own even more of what we read, watch and listen to.
