I am a customer of AT&T (formerly SBC), for my local telephone service and for my dial-up Internet connection.
Also I "co-own" four Yahoogroups (sfBarea, SaveFreedom, Nakity, Franhattan).

I wish I could switch to a nonprofit provider of Internet services --
or at least to a company which I could trust.
But major Net firms have sided with the totalitarian Chinese government
against the netizens of China;
so we can expect they'll side with the Bush regime
against U.S. citizens.

Can anyone tell us about any nonprofit provider of Internet dial-up access?
Or of local phone service?

(For long-distance phone service,
the progressive alternative is Working Assets.
I wish W.A. would also provide Net acess!!! )
