Open letter to the Bay Area Reporter:
The quality of "pride" isn't always positive.
Fascist bigots feel proud of their ugly hate.
Creationists take smug pride in their ignorance.
In the Bay Area Reporter, June 1,
a Burlingame resident proposes renaming
our annual LGBTIQQA "Pride" events,
as "Equality" events.
That would be an improvement.
But the best name is " Queer Freedom".
