Exactly one and a half hours after the raid of Occupy Oakland at Oscar Grant Plaza began, Oakland police moved in to crush the smaller satellite occupation at Snow Park by Lake Merritt. With over one hundred officers assembled, police surrounded the encampment and proceeded to make arrests and flatten the camp as they had done in the downtown plaza earlier. As approximately six arrests were being made, another hundred officers arrived as backup to stand off the growing crowd protesting the second raid of the morning.
