Condoleezza Rice Target of Anti-War Protesters at Meg Whitman Fundraiser
On September 21st, nurses, teachers, and union members lined the Bayshore Freeway in front of the San Francisco Airport Hyatt-Regency to protest a Meg Whitman fundraising event. Anti-war activists demonstrated against former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who endorsed Whitman for Governor in a speech at the hotel.
The California Nurses Association's faux "Queen Meg" was on hand at the rally with a mock court that included a Condoleezza look-alike. Satirical troupe "Oil Billionaires for Meg" spoofed the candidate for Governor, highlighting Whitman's ties to big corporations and poor record on the environment.
