"How can you have an economy without jobs?" It's a good question.

How To Make American Jobs Before It's Too Late - Andy Grove - Jul 01 2010

video: Ratigan's Righteous Rant Regarding Robbed & Raped America
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WakeUpClass/message/1627

The only way to have a good American economy is to bring back our jobs, which were sent overseas by Congress.  I suggest an import fee on imported goods equal to the estimated difference in labor cost.  We could start at 50 percent of this amount, and move to 90 percent in five years to give business time to adjust.  Put American workers on the same cost basis as foreign workers, on a cost plus import fee basis.

If we don't do this, we are headed for disaster.  All the money we borrow is sent over seas for (1) the things we buy and (2) the oil we import.  There is no future in this direction.  We are becoming a third world nation. - Tom Dickerman

Dwain Deets launches site devoted to WTC Building 7

Former NASA aerospace research engineer, Dwain Deets, a member
Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth and leader of its writing team, launched a new
web site in July that focuses on circumstances surrounding the collapse of
World Trade Center Building 7 (the Salomon Building) on September 11, 2001.

Deets explains why he created the site, “7problemswithbuilding7” which
devotes itself exclusively to building 7 rather than the two, more widely
known towers: "I started it because I think just presenting a limited but
well-rounded portion of the Building 7 story is easier to be understood and
less intimidating. I hope people will give it a chance to be understood,
rather than taking the easy route and rejecting it without even giving it a
read," he said.

He also said the site complements the decision by the
New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN)to focus on
Building 7 and David Ray Griffin's suggestion for a "Building What?" campaign.

)'( )'( EPHEMERISLE 2010 DATES OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED - 7/22-25 http://ephemerisle.org
Ephemerisle 2010 will be held noon Thursday July 22 through noon Sunday July 25 (now 33% longer!) at a new location in the Sacramento River Delta. This new location will give us more ability to create the feeling of an archipelago of island nations, and ups the challenge factor slightly by being wider and deeper than last year's site.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS, MAKERS AND FREEDOM-LOVERS TO EPHEMERISLE! - JULY 22- 25
Imagine a small Burning Man-like event that takes place on the water.  And focuses on freedom, creativity and community.
Ephemerisle 2010 will be our second year of hosting a floating festival on California's Sacramento River Delta -- and we want YOU to come check it out!
People will bring their crafts and their ideas to build an eclectic temporary village of boats, rafts, junks, and other floating structures organized into five separate island nations. A large central barge will serve as a common space for everyone to come together.  We'll have art, music, dance, open mic performances, classes ... and whatever other interesting rituals and events participants create and share.  YOU will define what Ephemerisle 2010 turns out to be.
Public ticket sales begin May 10th through Brown Paper Tickets.  Check out the website for information about houseboats, workshops on building and powering your own floating platform, and our grant program for water-based art and projects.
Questions can be directed to ephemerisle [at] seasteading.organization  For the "big idea" behind Ephemerisle, check out http://www.seasteading.org

Please join the Center for Biological Diversity on Tuesday, July 27 for a talk on the widespread effects of pesticides on our environment and the Center's work to combat this widespread problem.
The EPA has registered thousands of pesticides for use in the United States, and it's estimated that more than 2 billion pounds are sold annually in this country. These pesticides are pervasive throughout our environment and threaten the recovery and survival of a startling array of federally protected species. Astonishingly, the EPA has never adequately evaluated or regulated the effects of pesticides on the environment or human health.
U.C. Berkeley professor, biologist and herpetologist Dr. Tyrone Hayes is one of the nation's leading experts on the effects of agricultural chemicals on hormones. Dr. Hayes will talk about his research and what he has discovered with regard to the effects of pesticides on amphibians. Center staff will also discuss our Pesticides Reduction Campaign, which aims to secure programmatic changes in the pesticide-registration process and to stop toxic pesticides from contaminating fish and wildlife habitats.
When: Tuesday, July 27
Pre-talk reception with light refreshments at 5:30 p.m.; talk begins at 6 p.m.
Where: Center for Biological Diversity, 351 California St., Suite 600, San Francisco (three short blocks from the Montgomery Street BART Station, between Sansome and Battery)
Please RSVP to Jacki Lopez at jlopez [at] biologicaldiversity.org or call (415) 632-5305. Space is limited.

It's frustrating because our leader's have given the oil companies legal protection and very low liability limits for situations such as this. It will take people standing up to the government and demanding a full and thorough clean-up, retribution to damaged parties and THEN 10% of profits for the next 10 years to go directly toward development of alternative energy.
I think we can bypass the years in court if the public demands action. BP as a business knows it can only survive with the public's blessing. No customers means no company.
This is the time where we say the protection of our environment is senior all of the man-made laws and loopholes.

National Go Topless Day in honor of 19th Amendment and birth of Women's Equality Day
Maitreya, Rael, spiritual leader and founder of goTopless.org states: "as long as men can be topless, constitutionally women should have the same right, or men should also be forced to wear something hiding their chest."
Gather with us in protest of the inequality of toplessness! Women are encouraged to participate by being topless and men are encouraged to participate by wearing bras, pasties, nipple tape, etc. There will be music, dancing, and, of course, toplessness in abundance!

?      Why am I listing this event? because A 100 year old GOLD US $20 1oz coin from 1910 now sells for $1200-2000. That's how weak the US dollar has gotten.
An ounce of gold cost $20 US 100 years ago. Today an ounce of gold costs $1200. Gold has had the same value for 100 years. 1 oz of gold buys you 10 barrels of OIL.
The dollar has declined, very badly in the last 100 years. It now takes 60 x as many dollars to buy an ounce of gold as it did 100 years ago.
GET OUT OF THE DOLLAR BEFORE IT COLLAPSES. Get yourself onto land with water where you can grow food.
Old SF Mint Coin Show, Sept. 17-18, 2010 showcase U.S. & World Coins & Currency, and offer complimentary tours of the building, drawings, and door prizes.
in the Old U.S. Mint building in San Francisco, CA on September 17-18, 2010.  Over thirty-five coin and currency dealers will be present.
Other attractions include drawings and door prizes, young collectors’ activities, a live auction both days, and complimentary tours of the building, given three times daily.
The Old U.S. Mint in San Francisco once housed over one-third of the nation’s gold reserves, and is one of only five buildings in San Francisco designated a National Historic Landmark.
Show hours are 10am-6pm Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday. Admission is $5, which is valid for both days. Coupons for discounted admission are available online. Children under 12 are free. Attendees holding a valid coin club card will receive the discounted admission rate automatically.
The Old U.S. Mint is located on the corner of 5th and Mission Streets in downtown San Francisco. The Hotel Milano (55 – 5th Street) has reserved a block of rooms for this occasion at $99 per night plus tax. Please mention the “Old SF Mint Coin Show”. The Hotel Milano can be reached at 415-543-8555.

Crash Course Chapter 3: Exponential Growth Chapter 4: Compounding Is The Problem are you prepared?
http://chrismartenson.com/crashcourse
If you only watch one chapter, start with chapter 16: fuzzy numbers

"In Germany back in 1923, a man put all the money he had into a wheelbarrow and headed to the store to buy a loaf of bread. But when he got there, the store was closed. He left his wheelbarrow outside the door, figuring he'd come back when the store opened, knowing the money in it wasn't worth enough for anyone to bother stealing. He was right. When he came back, all the money was still there, dumped on the ground, but someone had stolen his wheelbarrow."

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily. No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

GUN CONTROL WORKS ask the experts: Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Kim Jong-il, Qaddafi

Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
Most often when a government takes a peoples guns, it then takes their land or their lives.
