At Johannes Mehserle's second pre-trial hearing in Los Angeles, the LA Coalition for Justice for Oscar Grant again demonstrated against racist police violence in front of the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse. Mehserle himself was rushed into and out of an underground parking garage in a black SUV with dark-tinted windows. Inside the court room, both of Mehserle's defense motions -- to reduce bail and to remove the Alameda DA's office from the case -- were denied by Judge Perry. After the hearing, family lawyer John Burris answered questions from the corporate media.  la-mesherlehearing_021910...
