At Johannes Mehserle's second pre-trial hearing in Los Angeles, the LA Coalition for Justice for Oscar Grant again demonstrated against racist police violence in front of the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse. Mehserle himself was rushed into and out of an underground parking garage in a black SUV with dark-tinted windows. Inside the court room, both of Mehserle's defense motions -- to reduce bail and to remove the Alameda DA's office from the case -- were denied by Judge Perry. After the hearing, family lawyer John Burris answered questions from the corporate media.  la-mesherlehearing_021910... justice for Oscar Grant has not been served! We must unite and prevail over these cold blooded example Bart cops, taking the opportunity to murder, exude their racism and hatred. They murdered a young father, son, friend, person, potential, .... It pains my heart, and we cannot let these cruel coward cops get away with their hatred acts, only to feel that they have succeeded and can cruelly lynch another person! They have not had a loved one fall victim to racial hatred! They must pay the price! The justice system is not just one, with all the manipulation of facts, biases of jurors picked, the power of money...
We must not stop here! Until we get justice for Oscar Grant! Support must be spread throughout the cities, churches, leaders in power! These specific Bart cop individuals need to be puniished for their cold blooded crimes: they will not stop here. |
