VIDEO: Bevatron Decontruction Update
A 3 and a half minute look at the Bevatron site. Visible are mounds of rubble covered in tarps, shipping containers, and a fleet of (de)construction vehicles. The Demolition Plan, the procedural order of deconstruction, has not been released to the public. There are questions as to groundwater pollution protocols in regards to the demolition. There are concerns regarding assessments of mercury contamination. Out of 4,700 truck loads, 2,700 will contain radioactively, and otherwise, contaminated material.

Oh What a surprise the University of California at Berkeley with the Lawerence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) in collaboration do not regard public safety or public notification of the removal of Toxic Waste. Then university along with the LBNL promised Berkeley City council a plan of demolition by February and a Removal by June of this year for which they have not done. This is par for the coarse with the UCB and the NBNL flagrant disregard of the citizens of Berkeley and their safety. This means they have begun transporting 4700 truck loads of nuclear waste through the streets of Berkeley which is a violation of the Berkeley Nuclear free Act.
