Richmond Protests Chevron Proposal to Process Dirtier Oils in the City
On Saturday, November 10th, hundreds of people marched on
Chevron's Richmond Refinery to oppose Chevron's proposal to process
dirtier, sulfur-heavy oils in the city of Richmond. Community activists
from the West County Toxics Coalition, GreenAction for Health and
Environmental Justice, Communities for a Better Environment, Richmond
Environmental Health & Justice Leadership Academy, Community Healthy
Initiative, Richmond Greens and ANSWER came together for a march and rally
which brought voices against environmental racism, war and social
injustice.
