Witness: SF Cops Kill Man Surrendering
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- A woman who identified herself as a resident of 672 Larch Way, near Eddy and Buchanan streets where San Francisco police fatally shot a suspect Wednesday night, said the suspect "was holding his hands up surrendering" when he was shot.
Rochelle Terrell said, "They just murdered this dude."
Terrell said her children, ages 8, 9 and 11, were outside playing at about 8:10 p.m. when what police described as a chase of an armed suspect in a stolen vehicle ended outside her home.
"A whole lot of kids were playing outside," Terrell said, adding that her children were terrified.
After the shooting, Terrell said, 10 or 12 officers urged residents to stay inside.
"The police are lined up in front of my door like they're ready to kill everybody, hands on their triggers," she said.

The SF PD is in the dope business and numerous other corruptions. The man probably knew something that some ranking officer or government official did not want someone to know.

You will soon see, the police only fired after the suspect attempted to kill them with a semi-automatic weapon. This is a justified use of force. You can believe whatever crackhead you want, the the facts cannot be changed. Open your mind to the truth.
Why did you refer to the witnesses as crackheads. Not all African American residents of the Western Addition are drug addicts.
This is the racist metality that the police carry to work with them every day.
If the man did not have a gun when he was shot, it was excessive force. If I understand the law, officers are only to shot if lives are in danger. While he may have been shooting at police, he was unarmed when he got of the car, he was no longer a threat.
They were just retaliating like all other gang menbers.

i wouldn't call it retaliation, i would call it justice.
Kyenn, just so you know, your understanding of the law is not accurate. There are many instances the police can shoot an unarmed man and be completely justifed. But that has nothing to do with this case. It still has not been determined if the police even hit the suspect or he shot himself. Also keep in mind, people do not always die right when they are shot. Many people are shot, drop their gun, walk out, colapse and die. It is still far to early to tell happen in this case. I suggest you keep your mind open and wait for the facts. Also lets wait to see if these "alleged" witnesses were actually there, and If they can pass a lie detector. As far as Kamala goes, she should probably keep her mouth shut on this one untill the facts are in.
How do you get from calling a person a crack head to ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE CRACHEADS. My god, its that kind of thinking that is going to keep you unhappy all your life. Are you trying to tell me that there was not one single crackhead on the scene that night??? LOL....LOL...You obviously were not there. Also, just because someone is a crackhead it does not always make them a bad person.
i guess the so called witnesses didn't see the bullet holes in the police car or the gun in the SUV. when all is said and done the officers involved will be vindicated and the so called witnesses will have to find another story to get their faces on the news.
and it's not confined to the SFPD.

The shooting occurred at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday night at Eddy and Buchanan streets in the parking lot of an apartment building. This is not a slum or ghetto area. It is about 3 blocks from Japantown and 6 blocks from Opera Plaza. It's the wrong part of town for the witnesses to be all crackheads or whatever disparaging label they are supposed to have.
the only evidence I've found about Boyd maybe shooting at the police is that the police say that he fired at them during the chase and they found a bullet two blocks away from the shooting scene that was the same caliber as the gun found in Boyd's car. I haven't seen any news story where the police claimed that they shot Boyd only after he fired at them at the shooting scene, or any story reporting any bullet holes in the police car.
Paul, just so you know, the police do not have to, nor should they wait for someone to shoot at them first. So that point is irrelevant. Also, not many facts have been in the news. Yes they did retrieve a bullet from a house during the chase (and yes he did not care who it hit, luckily it did not hit any children or other people). And if you were there that night you would have seen the holes in the police car. So it is abundantly clear that he was shooting at the Officers with no regard for the safety of innocent bystanders. Other than those two things, everything else is speculation at this point.
There was a report of a vehicle hit by gun fire in the SF Sentinel - http://www.sanfranciscosentinel.com/id301.htm
paul,
you have obviously never been on larch street.

paul,
have you ever been in this neighborhood? i doubt it. it is not an "apartment building". it is projects. they may not look like it, but they are. paul, you are obviously a naive non native san franciscan. you need to open your eyes and look around.

paul mccarthy has no clue. i wish people would do a little research before making false assumptions. paul, the tenderloin is only about six blocks from opera plaza too. don't be so naive.
