Police StateOakland Press Conference Pictures
On April 7th 2003 the city of Oakland attacked a peaceful gathering of protesters. The wooden bullets used by the police clearly indicated on their casings that they were not meant to be shot at demonstrators and that they could be fatal. Speakers from the NLG and several protest groups spoke at City Hall at 2:30 to address the aggressive police tactics of the OPD.  no_war.jpgj77414.jpg

 injury.jpg This was a wound on one of eighteen protesters and dock workers who were attacked by the OPD. Several protesters and dockworkers were shut multiple times.
ILWU leaders talk to the press
