book release party with Daphne Gottlieb. Homewrecker examines the changing romantic "affair" in a post-nuclear family age and explores the emotional intensity and complexity of affairs in queer relationships and other relationships that do not involve marriage. The anthology also investigates the larger social effects of "the affair" on conventional societal values of heterosexual pair bonding and the nuclear family. Contributors also reflect on the consequences faced by those who continue to challenge heteronormative relationships.

This week two icons of that era stop by to relive the glory days of punk - producer Dirk Dirksen, who used to book three acts a night at the famous Mabuhay Gardens in North Beach, and singer/songwriter Penelope Houston of The Avengers. Penelope is into a whole different sound now -- she describes it as ".folkrockandroll." She and guitarist Pat Johnson will treat Josh to a special performance - the world premiere of her acoustic song "If You're Willing."
