Central Valley Women’s Equality Day March and Rally
Several hundred women from throughout the Central Valley rallied to empower women and to get women to vote in the November 2006 elections. The event started with a march, led by Dolores Huerta, in downtown Fresno. The march concluded at the Free Speech area on the Fulton Mall where participants heard a series of speakers.

In a press release declaring his support of District 6 candidate Rob Black, Mayor Gavin Newsom displayed a poor understanding of the district’s make-up.
