Protest REI's ties to Sweatshop Labor!
Wednesday, May 12, at 11pm, there will be a community picket out in front of the San Francisco REI office. REI is refusing to pay a measly $27,000 owed its factory workers as well as refusing to disclose its records....

Oakland Trucker Strike May Be Over...
After taking off for the afternoon, I returned tonight around 8:30pm to find a few dozen workers still talking about the strike and what to do next. Essentially the strike was broken up this afternoon when the Port of Oakland went to court to obtain an injunction "against the continuing unlawful disruption of transportation in the harbor area"....

Update: Port authorities give strikers order to leave
Today at around 1pm Port Authorities tried to give strikers legal papers to force them to leave Port property(aka the APL main gate where they are picketing)....

Truck Drivers Still on Strike at Oakland Port
I will post more of a reportback later in the week. I am busy posting pics, updating the main story, and spending time at the docks. Come out and join the strikers for a while if you can. The strike is on indefinitely, as the workers have commited to stay out in solidarity until all the drivers get the same deal. If the workers decide to settle or any authorities decide to attack the strikers I will try and post an update within a half hour(or get someone else too)....
