SF School Board Pays for Renaming Empty Buildings

by SF Taxpayer
Not to be outdone for contempt for education in this backward country, the San Francisco School Board wants to rename 44 empty schools, costing SF taxpayers thousands of dollars, while not spending the money necessary to provide in-house learning now. This mandates a restraining order! See https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/dozens-of-city-schools-to-get-new-names/

Mayor London Breed is outraged as are many parents and students, as well as San Francisco taxpayers, which we all are as residents of San Francisco, both tenants and homeowners. Mayor Breed is African-American, born and raised in San Francisco, and went to San Francisco public schools while growing up in public housing. Her 1/27/21 statement is quoted in the above cited article and at https://sfmayor.org/article/statement-mayor-london-breed-school-renaming

The children of the workingclass, mostly African-American and Latinx, are falling further behind than usual with online learning, especially in the first 8 grades, where inhouse learning is far more effective. Education is fundamental to the advancement of the workingclass and to the existence of an industrialized society. The workingclass is the labor force and must be educated with inhouse learning immediately. Instead of spending our tax dollars on renaming empty buildings, the school district must spend the money to promote inhouse learning immediately as follows:
1. Vaccinate all teachers and school staff immediately.
2. Provide sufficient space, including building more classrooms, so that the students can sit 6 feet apart.
3. Provide classroom tutors and assistants who can bring the students up to grade level as soon as they return to the classroom.

Clearly, it will take a court order to make this anti-education school board stop wasting our tax dollars on renaming empty buildings and instead promote inhouse learning for all public school students immediately. The private schools are already open; it just costs money to open the schools safely. The name game can wait until the test scores of the workingclass school children of all colors are excellent.
