Michael Lyon, Health Advocate and Convener, San Francisco Gray Panthers, will speak about the importance of “Medicare For All”.

Michael was formerly a biomedical technician and knowledgeable about current policies regarding health care issues being considered at the local, state and national level. He has a Masters Degree in Microbiology and worked as a biomedical technician for 15 years at San Francisco General Hospital, where he became active in preserving San Francisco’s public health care and health care for poor and minorities; in opposing racism, particularly in medical care and public health; and in opposing police violence and mass incarceration. He has also been active in the campaign for single-payer, Medicare-for-All health care, but with a critical perspective.
