Date:
Thursday, November 16, 2017
Time:
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Event Type:
Speaker
Organizer/Author:
Bob Baldock
Location Details:
First Congregational Church of Berkeley - 2345 Channing Way, Berkeley

When Alice Waters opened the doors of Chez Panisse in Berkeley in 1971, no one anticipated the indelible mark it would leave on the culinary - and cultural - landscape. It was progressive in all aspects: from agriculture and dairy to the arts (graphics, films, books), politics certainly: including the Free Speech Movement and Vietnam War Resistance. Steve Wasserman, recently made Executive Director of Heyday Books, will be in conversation with Alice. KPFA's Kris Welch will host.
