INFORUM at the Commonwealth Club is hosting a conversation with Jason Kander and his fight against voter suppression on August 3, and we’d love to invite you, your organization, and your network to join us!
After recent elections, the right to cast a ballot has come under close scrutiny, and as the president of Let America Vote, Kander dedicates his time to combating state and national laws that disproportionately disenfranchise people based on their race, ethnicity, gender, age, or income. He was recently appointed to the Democratic National Convention’s Commission on Protecting Democracy from the Trump Administration. Kander was elected Missouri Secretary of State in 2012 at the age of 31, making him the first millennial in the nation to be elected to statewide office.
Kander will be in conversation with California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, a fellow advocate of expanding voter registration and modernizing voter tools and technologies.
I wanted to make sure you had a chance to get a ticket to the event and share it with people in your network, and more details below! If you have any questions or if you are interested in group/student rates, please email inforum [at] commonwealthclub.org.
