SF Police state terrorism; Housing Crisis, Nuclear Contamination of Pacific Ocean

by Register Peace & Freedom or Green
Police state terrorism, 7,000 homeless and thousands more with substandard housing, nuclear weapons saber-rattling over North Korea and nuclear power radiated Pacific Ocean are brought to us by the Democratic-Republican Parties.
On May 8, 2017 between 12 and 1 p.m., 4 San Francisco police SUVs were parked with red and blue lights flashing outside the City’s hotel on the Embarcadero at Mission Street, and one of the police was apparently testing a young man for alcohol use, asking him to touch his nose, and the like, and the young man had no problem with the test, and he stood straight up on the hard cement sidewalk. This cost the taxpayers a fortune since each cop receives $100,000 a year and plus benefits, and each cop car is loaded with enough electronic equipment to cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. This whole show for the thousands of people in the Financial District lunch time crowd was a profound waste of our tax dollars.

Meanwhile, we read in the May 1, 2017 Street Sheet that 7,000 homeless people have no place but the street to use as a bathroom and in the May 8, 2017 local daily newspaper, a 65-year-old man with cancer has to pay $708.72 for a Single Room Occupancy (SRO) room with bathroom and kitchen shared by definition, out of his $945 per month Social Security check and has to submit to a lottery to move to a cheaper place when anyone who receives $2,000 a month or less in income should not have to pay any rent!.

The money for paying to house the homeless so that they have full bathrooms with showers and a kitchen in every unit, and to house people in decent housing, instead of substandard SROs, should come from the $583,289,269 a year San Francisco police budget which should be transferred in its entirety to the housing, healthcare and social services budgets. Meanwhile, the homeless should be able to use City Hall’s bathrooms, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The City can also install showers at City Hall and at all police stations, which police stations should be transferred to the Social Service department, for all 7,000 homeless to use every day. Then, immediately, the City can take over all empty apartments by right of eminent domain and immediately house the homeless, and install bathrooms and kitchens in every unit in the SROs so that they are up to code instead of being substandard.

Tax the rich must also be a top priority since San Francisco has 147,400 millionaires and 26 billionaires, and California has 663,000 millionaire households and 124 billionaires, all of whom should have their income taxes raised to immediately house the homeless permanently, with the City of San Francisco and State of California paying the rent.

This police state and housing nightmare is brought to us by the San Francisco Democratic Party, with a Democratic mayor in office since 1964 to the present, commonly known as the Democratic Party Machine. The homeless crisis started in 1980, under Democratic Pres Carter. As the war machine and police state escalated under both Democratic and Republican presidents, funding for affordable housing was cut.

The Democratic Party, with the Republican Party, has been in the forefront of promoting the war machine. The saber-rattling over North Korea, a nuclear power, bordering 2 large nuclear powers, namely Russia and China, began under Democrat Pres. Truman (president 1945-1953). Nuclear power and nuclear weapons have been actively promoted by both Democrats and Republicans since Democratic Pres Truman criminally and unnecessarily dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945, respectively. Today, General Electric’s nuclear reactors at Fukushima, Japan, destroyed by the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami are spewing 300 tons of radioactive waste into the Pacific Ocean a day, causing the entire Pacific Ocean to be radioactive, adversely affecting fish, shellfish, and eventually human beings. Japan has a long history of severe earthquakes and tsunamis and no nuclear power plant should have ever been built there. The Democrat-Republican parties together have been actively destroying affordable housing or refusing to build it, while they build the police state, the war machine and actively promote nuclear power and nuclear weapons. The destruction of the largest ocean on the planet, the Pacific Ocean, and soon the rest of the oceans, should be enough to have everyone running to join the only 2 parties which oppose nuclear power, nuclear weapons, the police state, the war machine, and support affordable housing for all paid for with the tax dollars of the rich, Peace and Freedom Party and the Green Party.
