Join volunteers across California in protecting our coasts from trash. Last year 66,844 volunteers all over the state joined together to pick up 1,085,505 pounds of trash and 104,559 pounds of recyclables, resulting in 595 fewer tons of trash in our creeks and shorelines. You too can help make a difference! Join the Watershed Project at Shimada Friendship Park to participate in Coastal Cleanup Day.

Supplies: All cleanup supplies are provided – bag or bucket, gloves, data card, pencil, etc. However, we encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bucket and/or gloves.

Safety: Please wear close-toed shoes to protect your feet. Be sure to wear a hat and/or sunscreen to protect you against the sun. Bring a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated.

Registration: RSVP-ing is helpful for planning our event, especially if you are part of a group of 10 or more people. To RSVP online, check out our EventBrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/coastal-cleanup-day-at-shimada-friendship-park-tickets-17250278046

Lunch: Please join us after the cleanup for a free lunch provided by Supervisor John Gioia.
