Stop Hanging Noose Incidents And Retaliation Against Whistleblowers At SF Recology
Labor and community activists rallied against the racist hanging noose incident at San Francisco Recology and other racist workplace bullying incidents at the company. Teamster IBT Local 350 was called on to back up Daryle Washington who was retaliated against for reporting the incidents. Also another IBT 350 member Marcus Ward reported that there is a pattern of racist insults and bullying for workers at the facility. The management denied that these incidents are continuing to take place.

Daryle Washington, a member of Teamsters Local 350 at San Francisco Recology company was retaliated against when he protested the placing of a hanging noose at the Recology sorting plant in San Francisco. A speak out and rally was held at the SF Recology plant on September 21, 2105 to call for an end to retaliation and also calling on Teamsters Local 350 and the IBT Teamsters Joint Council 7 to publicly stand with Washington and fight to put him back on the job.
Also another IBT 350 SF Recology worker Marcus Ward spoke out about ongoing racism, harassment and workplace bullying by company managers and the effort to cover-up this racist treatment by Recology bosses.
