“You are not alone facing an addiction problem, do not isolate”

by Duane Rice Tue, Jan 27, 2015 2:55AM
A lot of families isolate when somebody in the family has an addiction problem. They feel ashamed of having a problem like this. A lot of families do not reach for help or advice due to embarrassment. Wives feel that other family members are going to disapprove of them or they feel terribly embarrassed by having to do it. Parents may feel sometimes that their son or daughter´s addiction is their fault even when they didn´t have nothing to do with it.
