Remake the world
The U.S. has also slain many in Afghanistan, both those called the Taliban and those whom they had mistaken for Taliban and terrorists. It made little difference to the U.S., for they were convinced of the righteousness of their cause and shrugged off the many innocents who died as “mistakes that happen.” After all, Afghans had been killing each other for hundreds of years, so what was a few more—especially since the U.S. had come to bring them “liberty.”
These killings have also been accompanied by other injustices, for the U.S. is a bully among nations, confident of its might and willing to push other nations around to do what it wants. So it has been pressuring and strong-arming nations to aid it in its battle against its enemies, or bribing them if that did not work. It has done that to many Arab and Muslim nations, while their peoples watched in dismay and anger as their leaders yielded to U.S. pressure—whether economic, financial, or military. These nations have had to compromise with the U.S. for the sake of their people and their welfare, but it has been an evil deal, for in return they have had to take action against those the U.S. considers its enemies, or provide some sort of support for the U.S. and its policies or forces.
America’s trying to remake the world in its own image with its own form of government, but different peoples and nations simply need different forms of government.
