This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, NHK World Radio Japan, and the Voice of Russia.
From GERMANY- The Hong Kong Occupy movement shifted protests to the home of the city leader who said that open elections were impossible because it would put voting power into the hands of poor people. A report on the Canadian citizen who shot a guard and rushed into the Parliament building. 4 guards from US mercenary group Blackwater were found guilty for shooting more than 30 Iraqi civilians in 2007. Doctors confirmed the use of cluster bombs in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine. Some the the weapons airdropped by US forces in Syria were seized by rebel troops. Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, has a new president.
From CUBA- The Mexican government is offering a reward for information on the 43 students disappeared in the state of Guerrero. In Michoacan Mexico, arrests were made in the killing of a police commander. The UN Human Rights Committee questioned the Israeli regime over expansionist policies and violations of Palestinian rights. From JAPAN- UN Sec General Ban ki Moon criticized Israeli military activity in Gaza, saying that 100,000 are still homeless after the 50 day war. Japan signed on to a UN statement opposing the use of nuclear weapons under any circumstances with 155 other nations- the US and China refuse to sign the statement. The operator of the devastated Fukushima nuclear power plant has begun removing the cover of a reactor building to remove debris. Evacuees from the Fukushima area are urging TEPCO to accept the state arbitrated compensation proposal.
From RUSSIA- An interview with Erinch Sahan head of food and climate policy at Oxfam about a new report called "Food, Fossil Fuels, and Filthy Finance." I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"Human rights commissions, as they are evolving, are an attack on our fundamental freedoms and the basic existence of a democratic society. It is in fact totalitarianism. I find this is very scary stuff."
-- Stephen Harper, Canadian Prime Minister
