Surviving Ebola Is Not Really That Hard

by blues
The ebola virus is being spread all around the earth for the simple, yet utterly stupid reason, that people actually believe that the world will end if "air travel" stops. Ridiculous! But since our religious faith in Aeronautics is without bound, we must all sacrifice ourselves to the Economic Necessity of Air Travel. Be that as it may, a little knowledge will go a hell of a long way toward "prepping" for your own personal ebola survival.
We need to begin with a foundation of basic knowledge. There are rumors that if you come down with ebola you can fight it off with huge amounts of vitamin C, and that may or may not be so. It's actually more important to know what is ebola exactly? The doctors will not tell you yet because they will believe all the "government lies" until about a million of us die. This is standard operating procedure. So what is ebola exactly? (I am no doctor so I am free to tell you.)

It is a relatively simple RNA virus. There are DNA viruses and there are RNA viruses. DNA and RNA are the repositories of all the information that is the foundation of what we think of as "life on earth." These are vast chains of chemicals with "sugar" backbones that are templates for ultra-complex protein molecular nano-machines that keep cells alive. Human cells are not much different than dandelion cells, except that animals may have archaea in their family tree (something to check out elsewhere). DNA is compact, relatively stiff, and hardy. RNA is more delicate, but more flexible, so it can make some protein molecular nano-machines more effectively. DNA is like a zipped-up zipper, and it ordinarily only comes unzipped in order to assemble flexible "messenger" RNA, which builds insanely complex protein molecular nano-machines that can do things like un-zip DNA to create messenger RNA to produce yet other complex protein molecular nano-machines.

Viruses have virtually no molecular protein machines of their own, so thay need to parasitize bigger more complex cells of plants and animals. (Bacteria and archaea are sort-of in between.) Some viruses are based on DNA and can be physically quite large, as are smallpox. Others, including ebola, are based on RNA, and can be relatively simple. (There are exceptions to all of this; the HIV virus is RNA, yet big and very complex.) DNA viruses are "double-stranded," like tough zipped-up zippers, and tough. RNA viruses are "single-stranded," like unzipped-up zippers, but their little molecular "tangs" are always exposed and ready to build protein molecular nano-machines right away. The biggest difference is that since DNA is much tougher (though not so flexible), it mutates much more slowly than RNA. Also, when DNA replicates, it uses both a "proofreading" protein molecular nano-machine, and also a "mismatch repair" protein molecular nano-machine that is not available for RNA replication (just so you know how complex this all is).

The zombies who run the U.S. centers For Disease Control (CDC) cannot bring themselves to quite admit that ebola (a simple RNA virus) must be transmissible through the air, like the flu. So millions must be sacrificed at the alter of bureaucracy, as usual. Truth is: SIMPLE MERCURY ULTRAVIOLET LAMPS KILL SIMPLE RNA VIRUSES VERY QUICKLY. These lamps were used in ordinary restaurants up until about the year 2000. They are a bit (very slightly) damaging to human eyes, but not much. But they kill RNA viruses in a few minutes.

But when you are on your death-bed, there won't be time to explain that these simple UV lamps could have protected you. The doctors will probably ignore all this. They are very busy people.
