"Defend The Right To Strike For Korean Workers " SF Rally For Korean Feb25 General Strike
Trade unionists, activists and youth rallied on February 25, 2014 at the Korean consulate in San Francisco to support the general strike in Korea against repression and the attack on the railway workers and other workers in Korea who are fighting privatization
Trade unionists, activists and youth joined together at the San Francisco Korean consulate to support the Korean general strike called by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions on February 25, 2014. The San Francisco solidarity protesters were met again with Park government supporters who tried to disrupt the workers support rally with their bullhorn. The rally was supported by the San Francisco Labor Council, other unions and left organizations. Also Ken Riley president of ILA 1422 Charleston, South Carolina gave solidarity greetings from the ILA and Jordi Aragunde gave greetings from the International Dockworkers Council IDC and coordinator of the Catalan-Balearic Area and the Port of Barcelona stevedores.

The Korean Park government mobilized counter-protesters to stop the solidarity rally for the KCTU and Korean workers who are fighting privatization
The Korean government is also seeking to privatize the healthcare system along with the railroads. These are medical union leaders.

There is growing solidarity in the US to defend the Korean working people who are under a vicious attack.
Ken Riley, the president of ILA 1422 in Charleston, South Carolina spoke in solidarity and said that the ILA is in full support of the Korean workers rights to strike.
Workers also supported the SA strike of NUMSA which went on a national strike on February 26 and issued a statement in solidarity with the Korea KCTU general strike.
