This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, the Voice of Russia, and NHK World Radio Japan.
From GERMANY- Polish citizens were assured that their country was sitting atop huge quantities of shale gas- after fracking numerous sites with small yields many big oil companies left the scene and the citizens are battling to preserve the land. Tens of thousands took to the streets in Hong Kong demanding democratic reforms. The US killed at least 16 people in the deadliest drone strike of the year in Pakistan. There was a summit in Berlin to try to ease youth unemployment in Europe which has reached 23% for those under 25.
From CUBA- The UN reported that Latin America is leading the world in achieving the year 2000 Millennium Goals. A Viewpoint on the government attempts to privatize the state-owned petroleum company Pemex. Latin America was angered by the diversion of a plane carrying Bolivian President Evo Morales to Austria to check and see if NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was stashed on board. Morales equated the diversion to kidnapping and accused the US of ordering the search. Julian Assange accused President Obama of "thin-skinned vindictiveness" for the flight diversion and the US bugging of the Ecuador embassy in London.
From RUSSIA- Edward Snowden continues to live in the Russian airport while requesting asylum from numerous nations. A commentary on the irony that European countries, who are upset by NSA spying, were willing to attempt to aid the US in capturing Edward Snowden. There was celebration in Egypt when the military took over the country and suspended the constitution- but does this rapid turnover prove that the so-called Arab Spring does not in fact lead to democratic renewal but to chaos?
From JAPAN- Prior to the flight diversion, Evo Morales and Venezuelan President Maduro were in Russia for talks with Putin. The Japanese government wants details on the US spying on the Japanese embassy in Washington. Japan has defended its whaling at the International Court of Justice where Australia has filed a complaint. The UN reports that the global temperature has hit an all-time record high, following a decade of climate change.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < http://www.kzyx.org >

NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://http://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
