Stop The Attacks On The People Of Turkey-SF/Berkeley Rallies Against Gov Repression-Privat

Rallies were held in San Francisco and Berkeley to protest the repressive attacks by the AKP Erdogan government in Turkey. Speakers called for the defense of the people of Turkey and for the removal of the US supported government.

Hundreds of people rallied in San Francisco on June 1, 2013 and Berkeley
on June 6, 2013 to protest the mass repression in Turkey of those opposed
to the destruction of Taksim Square and also the privatization and theocratic
policies and measures being imposed by the Erdogan AKP government.
Speakers and participants discussed the role of the US in the Middle East,
the repression of occupy in the US and the connection between the
privatization of the Turkey and privatization of education in the United States
at UC. They also discussed the attack on democratic rights including on
the internet by the government in order to control information.
