5th district County Supervisor Bruce McPherson has been hosting a series of town Plan meetings in the San Lorenzo Valley cities of Ben Lomond, Felton, and Boulder Creek to get feedback from the public on potential improvement projects for the future.

At previous meetings, residents of each specific town organized their ideas into "project categories" and at the June 11 meeting, Ben Lomond residents will prioritize "specific and attainable" projects within each category, then form working groups and establish a process to steer their next steps.

All of the communities in the San Lorenzo Valley have existing town plans in place, and individuals at these meetings have been examining them to see what was accomplished and what was not, and what new issues they feel need to be addressed.

The existing Ben Lomond town plan is located at:

In addition to meetings planned to address to the specific needs of each community, separate meetings will also be held to address Highway 9 and tourism related issues.

Those interested in joining the Highway 9 or tourism advocacy groups should contact Robin Musitelli at robin.musitelli [at] co.santa-cruz.ca.us.
