U.S. claims of "transparency" blown up in latest drone strike

True to form, the White House Occupier's promise at his May 23 National Defense University speech on more transparency and accountability lasted not even a week before it was broken(blown to smithereens by a missile strike, to be exact!) A drone attack that killed 7 Pakistanis was not acknowledged by WH spokesman J. Carney, even after Pakistan formally protested the strike as against its sovereignty(and bitterly complained that the illegal strike had sabotaged its recent negotiations with Pakistani Taliban militants.) Apparently, in the eyes of USA Empire, "transparency" and "accountability" are relative terms that are best interpreted by the White House alone.

This is just the latest case of America's "Imperial Exceptionalism" at work. Evidently, the Wall Street-Pentagon elite's appointee at the White House--Barack H. Obama--thinks all he has to do is to give a fanciful speech(again, preferrably, at a military installation where he didn't think he would be confronted by a lone and courageous Code Pink protestor), promising vague and general commitments to fine-tune the internationally-hated illegal drone strikes on civilians. That would be the only commitment the Empire's #1 mouthpiece would make--no apologies for the thousands of civilians killed so far by his robotic air pirates, no release of any solid evidence of alleged crimes, and certainly no commitment to upholding of international laws.

"Seven Days in May" was a late 20th-century novel that depicted a military coup in Washington. Well, in 2013, the White House Occupier's rhetorical claims prove that the Full Spectrum Dominance militant wing has captured it, gun, stock and barrel.
