More Attacks On SFUSD UESF School Staff and Bullying Of Teachers, Students and Parents
The corporate controlled San Francisco Unified School District Board and Mangers including Superintendent Richard Carranza are laying over 100 para professionals, counselors and librarians despite having a surplus of over $50 million. At the same time they are brining in more union busting Teach For America teachers who are being pushed by Obama and US Education Secretary Arnie Duncan.
Parents, teachers and students also complained again about the systemic bullying of them by Carranza's management staff.

Teachers, para professionals and counselors of the United Educators of San Francisco UESF protested the San Francisco Unified School District Board and managers in front of the district and spoke in the meeting. They as well as parents and students spoke out against the layoffs of para professionals, counselors, librarians and teachers despite the district having a $50 million surplus and news that they will be receiving another $50 million from the state. SFUSD Superintendent Richard Carranza who supports the "common core" and more consultants was recently lauded by US Education Secretary Arnie Duncan for making the district a successful example of how his programs are working. This comes as the district is laying off long time counselors, para professionals and librarians in schools with Black, Latino, Filipinos and Samoans while bringing in more Teach For America staff. Parents and teachers also spoke out against the bullying by vice principals and the union busting racist role of the district management. Carranza and the Board also approved more funding for the "Common Core" testing scheme being pushed by Pearson and other for profit operations and the Bechtel Corporation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They also have allowed criminal abuse of students by the Martin Luther King Middle School principal Natalie Eberhard and obstruction of justice in this abuse by former Vice Principal Anthony Braxton. Braxton was transferred by Deputy Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero to support the "Math Common Core" on February 12, 2013. San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon has refused to investigate the criminal abuse complaints at MLK and is refusing to prosecute the physical abuse and obstruction of justice. The school board meeting took place on May 14, 2013.
