Don't Sell Off And Privatize The Post Office-SF March and Rally
On December 11, 2012, labor and community activists rallied to demand an end to the sell offs of post offices. The rally started at the offices of Richard Blum and Associates who through his ownership of real estate brokers C.B. Ellis is profiting from the sale of the post offices. He is married to California Senator Diane Feinstein and is also a regent at the University of California and has pushed privatization at the University as well. Postal workers also attacked the national leadership of the postal workers union for only having a perspective of lobbying the president and Congress who are pushing privatization rather than a mobilization of working people on the streets.
