Judge Rebecca Connolly has changed her mind again; the Sentencing Hearing date noted above is NO LONGER accurate.

GUILTY for being at PeaceCamp2010 in the wee hours; GUILTY of falling prey with others to a scheme by Sheriff Deputies to bust up the homeless-friendly protest;
GUILTY of unfashionable freedom of movement and concern for others -- 3:30 pm, Department #5.

(actually, the jurors dealt only with that first "guilty")

If you're planning to submit a LETTER to the judge, suggestion is to have it filed/datestamped asap (prior to Thursday) so it will find it's way from Superior Court Clerks Office into the court files. (psst! keep a copy to share)

Hi Folks,

Judge Rebecca Connolly sentenced me to 59 hours' of community service and six months' of unsupervised court probation.

Connolly gives me a year to peform those hours in light of disability issues. FWIW the DA had suggested 40 such hours' in his statement.

We are going to appeal the case, as we told Connolly, so maybe working off this sentence doesn't begin until later?

My deep gratitude to attorneys Jonathan Gettleman and his partner Eric Nelson, and for the 50 people who filled the courtroom in support of me today.

My community has helped keep me stable thru' the trying times.
