Corrupt UC Regents Plot Privatization Of University through "public private partnerships"
The UC Regents at their meeting on November 15, 2012 plotted on how to turn UC's public research into private by public private partnerships with capitalists wanting to profit from drug development. These regents have personally profited from public funds being invested in stock and investments that they own. The California Attorney General Kamal Harris refuses to investigate and prosecute them for financial conflicts of interests.

The UC Regents and management including UC president Mark Yudof on
their November 15, 2012 meeting at UC Mission Bay in San Francisco
plotted on how to have more public private partnerships in research to
"benefit" UC and the drug company capitalists.
UC Regent Richard Blum who has personally profited from UC investments
in his companies and Sherry Lansing who is now the UC Regents Chair
pushed using UC public research institutions to push for new drugs that can be
patented for profit by private public parternships and said they wanted UC
to be more like Stanford.
Lansing also profited from UC investments in Qualcom which she has stock in.

UC President Mark Yudof was brought into the university by privatizer Richard Blum, the husband of Senator Diane Feinstein to further his investment opportunities in making the University a profit center for his commercial interests. Yudof has led the way in further privatization and contracting out of the University including selling off the libraries. Yudof also has helped militarize the university with tens of millions of police/military forces to repress the students and others fighting budget cuts and fee increases.
UC Regen Richard Blum is a leading force for privatizing the university and personally profiting from investments with public pension funds.
Governor Brown is pushing for the university to turn to online education to get rid of faculty and staff and become a bigger profit center for Apple and other computer and software companies. He has the support of the Democrats in the legislature who are shills for privatization and charters in education and get funding from the Gates Foundation, the Broad Foundation and other privatizers.
