Dreambody/Earthbody
By ParaTheatrical ReSearch

Directed by Antero Alli
~~ appearing in person

This brand new film documents a kinetic dreaming ritual developed by its director Antero Alli that combines movements recalled from dreams to evoke the emotions and images of dreaming while fully awake. The preparation and execution of this dreaming ritual is demonstrated by Antero and a group of seven others he trained in paratheatre. This experimental film features participant interviews and dramatic re-enactments from two of Antero’s own dreams.

Antero says: “When you’re tired, you go to sleep and wake up in your dreams where you meet other dreamers, see things you’ve never seen before. When this dreaming self gets tired, it goes to sleep and you wake up the next morning thinking you have stopped dreaming. Nobody stops dreaming.”
