§PROTEST AGAINST NUDITY BAN IN SAN FRANCISCO!!!
steps of the City Hall in San Francisco
1 Doctor Carlton B Goodlett Place San Francisco, CA 94102 PROTEST AGAINST NUDITY BAN IN SAN FRANCISCO Wednesday, November 14th 2012 @ 12 noon – San Francisco City Hall steps Gypsy Taub, the nudist activist who took her clothes off at the Committee Hearing in an act of civil disobedience on Monday Nov. 5th, is inviting you to a protest against the Nudity Ban in San Francisco (second protest organized by her in response to this legislation). Watch the videos of her taking her clothes off at http://www.MyNakedTruth.TV The protest on November 14th will be attended by an award-winning documentary film maker from Norway Jan Dalchow who will be flying in from Norway to document the protest and the emerging body freedom movement in San Francisco. Kenneth Sortland Myklebust, the author of 1000 Bodies Project, will also be flying in from Norway to do a photo shoot at the protest and to follow the story of the nudity ban. More info about Jan and Kenneth: http://www.dalchowsverden.no/nakeddream.html The emerging body freedom movement in San Francisco gains momentum as the battle heats up at the Board of Supervisors meeting and in the press. The story has gained attention from international press and is becoming a global issue. Currently, non-sexual public nudity is legal in San Francisco. District 8 Supervisor, Scott Wiener has submitted legislation before the Board of Supervisors that would ban public nudity all over San Francisco. The only exceptions would be police “permitted” events like Bay-to-Breakers, Gay Pride, and Folsom Street Fair. According to the Bay Area Reporter, there were 22 supporters and 37 opponents of Scott Wiener’s nudity ban at the hearing on Nov 5th, which clearly demonstrates that the majority of San Franciscans oppose the ban. According to the Zogby poll conducted by The Naturist Action Committee 63 % of San Franciscans are not offended by non-sexual public nudity. The Committee Hearing on Nov.5th confirmed that result almost exactly. We will bring classical nude paintings to the protest to remind the Supervisors that human body is sacred and beautiful, and that an attack on our right to be nude is an attack on sacredness, beauty, love, freedom, art and creative self-expression. Gypsy Taub has a nude TV series that airs in San Francisco on channel 29 on Saturdays at 10 PM. It also airs in Berkeley, Hayward, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Union City, Freemont and Alameda.
