Free Bradley Manning: Speech Demands Pardon
Short video 2:31 in which activists demonstrating in front of the Democratic party's campaign office in Menlo Park, CA read a letter of demands related to the incarceration of Bradley Manning
On Aug 16 2012 activists occupied the Democratic party's Oakland campaign office. Demands made of the Obama at that time were ignored, despite the President's promise to run the most transparent administration in history. "You continue to ignore demands," says a San Francisco peninsula based activist in a letter he reads to the President. The demonstrator reading the letter is surrounded by about 25 other protesters, who demonstrated in front of the Menlo Park Democratic campaign office.
The speaker goes on to say that Bradley Manning has been held in cruel conditions and severely punished despite the fact that he is yet to be convicted. Manning, a United States Army soldier accused of having passed classified material to the whistleblower website WikiLeaks, has already spent over 800 days in prison. The letter asks that he be pardoned.
