On August 31, 2012, the California Senate had a debate and vote on the so called "reform" of the Workers Compensation bill. No injured workers groups on California were supporting the "reforms" which will harm many seriously injured workers who can no longer return to work. The bill was pushed through in the last week of the California legislative session without offering injured workers the right to voice their concerns.The bill was supported by the California AFL-CIO, the insurance industry, Governor Brown and the Democrats and Republicans. Injured workers are facing constant attacks from the insurance industry, bosses and now the leadership of the California AFL-CIO.
