Hydraulic fracturing -- or "fracking" -- is a hazardous oil and gas drilling technique that is a danger to California's water, air, people and wildlife. Fracking is expanding in our state -- and California regulators don't even track where it's being done, though it poses major risks.

Join Center for Biological Diversity staff as they discuss recent revelations about fracking in California: the push to frack the Monterey shale, threats to human health and wildlife, the industry's refusal to disclose information to the public and what we're doing to stop this fracking boom.

Thursday, Sept. 6, refreshments at 5:30 p.m.; talk at 6 p.m.
