Of course the Cuban Revolution didn't take power until 1959. Ted Cruz's father was brutally tortured by the U.S. backed Batista dictatorship. Of course Ted Cruz fails to mention that fact. Batista's dictatorship lasted from 1952-1959 and had the financial backing of U.S. imperialism while U.S. corporations plundered the labor and natural resources of Cuba. According to John F.
