Oakland rallies in support of Marikana miners

On the evening of Friday, August 24th, labor, Occupy, and Third Party activists rallied in Oakland's Oscar Grant Plaza in solidarity with South Africa's striking miners, at least 34 of whom were massacred by South African police ten days earlier on August 12th, at the Lonmin Mining Corporation's platinum mine northwest of Johannesburg.
