On August 6, 2012 the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki San Francisco Japanese Americans and anti-nuclear activists marched and rallied at the Japanese consulate to demand that no nuclear plants be restarted. The march and rally was sponsored by the No Nukes Action Committee, Occupy San Francisco and Green Action. On August 6, 2012 anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, San Francisco anti-nuclear activists rallied at the Japan Consulate to demand that the nuclear plants stay closed in Japan. The march and rally was sponsored by No Nukes Action, Occupy San Francisco and Green Action. Over 700 signatures were given to the consulate official to show that US and Japanese people are opposed to the restarting of Japan's 50 nuclear plants. There was also a march to PG&E to demand that San Onofre run by Southern California Edison and Diablo Canyon nuclear plnats run by PG&E be closed as well as the 104 US nuclear plants. The action connected the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was connected to the dirty nuclear bomb that went off at Fukushima and is causing cancer for thousands of people in Japan and around the world.
