Attorneys for suspended San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi have asked the San Francisco Ethics Commission to issue subpoenas calling four witnesses to testify in relation to allegations that San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee perjured himself at the 06.29.2012 San Francisco Ethics Commission hearing on the Mayor's case for removing Sheriff Mirkarimi from office.

The San Francisco Ethics Commission is a quasi judicial body empowered to subpoena witnesses.  Ross Mirkarimi's defense attorneys Shepard Kopp and David Waggoner have asked them to subpoena four witnesses, District #5 Supervisor Christina Olague,  Building Inspection Commissioner Debra Walker, developer and building permit expediter Walter Wong, and former Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin, to testify regarding Walker and Peskin's allegations that Mayor Ed Lee lied under oath at the 06.29.2012 Ethics Commission hearing.
