If you live in the Oakland foothills and are eager to join your neighbors in finding ways to meet our food, water, shelter, and energy needs as civilization shifts out of the Oil Age, please contact mrayene [at] mac.com to get the details!

The Transition Movement is comprised of vibrant, grassroots initiatives to build community resilience in the face of rising challenges like peak oil, climate change, resource wars, and economic depression. Transition is growing!
Meet neighbors, discuss your eco and gardening projects, share strategies, enjoy refreshments... because after all you're not alone in wondering how to prepare for the future! Help create practical and emotional resilience within this new group: Transition Foothills, Oakland.
Drop by our first meeting, which will be held at a private home in the Laurel District on Saturday July 21, from 2-5 pm.

We will be screening "In Transition 2.0" -- a new film that documents the emergence and spread of the Transition Movement via stories about ordinary people around the world gathering together to grow their own food, print their own money, and set up their own power stations, among other things! http://www.intransitionmovie.com/
Added to the calendar on Fri, Jul 13, 2012 8:34PM
