On July 4, 2012, 878 delegates elected to CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 2.0 in Philadelphia will sign and ratify a Petition for Redress of Grievances, a legal document authorized by the Petition Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

At appproximately 3pm on July 4, 2012, the Petition will be read at a rally in Front of Independence Hall. Speakers include Harvard Law Professor LAWRENCE LESSIG and best selling author CATHERINE CRIER. It is expected that the Petition for Redress of Grievances will demand:

An End to Corporate Personhood.

A Constitutional Amendment Overturning The Supreme Court's Decision in Citizens United v. F.E.C.

Elimination of All "Gifts" and "Perks" to Public Servants.

Comprehensive Banking and Securities Reform.

100% Public Financing of Political Campaigns and new Election Reforms.

All Polticians Take the Rootstrikers' Anti-Corruption Pledge.
