Food Shift Film Screening of Food Stamped!

by Food Shift (foodshift [at] gmail.com)
In an era when just about everyone is counting pennies as well as calories, the award-winning documentary “Food Stamped” provides cost-conscious eaters with plenty of food for thought. The film follows Bay Area filmmakers Shira and Yoav Potash as they attempt to eat a healthy diet on roughly one dollar per meal. “Food Stamped” has screened at film festivals across the US, and won the Jury Prize at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival. The evening will begin with potluck refreshments and social hour at 6:30 pm, followed by the film at 7:30 pm, followed by a discussion after the film with the filmmakers at Humanist Hall - 390 27th Street, Oakland (between Telegraph and Broadway).
