Busting Up The Oakland Public Schools: Protest At Lakeview Public Elementary School

The Oakland Unified School District Superintendent and Board Of Education are closing five public schools while opening up charters in Oakland. A protest was held at the Lakeview Public Elementary school to stop its closure. The Board intends to use it for administrators instead of students in the neighborhood. Also, the privatizers are engaged in attacking all public schools in the state and are pushing a so called "tax compromise" that will further pushing funding of charters and the elimination of oversight of these charter boards and where they put their money.
