Michelle Reed grew up in the Western Addition, with an African American father and a Japanese American mother. She has lived in the Mission for the last thirty years. Her plant store Roots, on South Van Ness near 15th, is already famous for its terrariums. She speaks with No-No Girl of APEX on KPFA.
