Fascism Creeping Into The Bay Area

by ntuit
Everyday there are more and more signs: fascism in the Bay Area.
This morning I witnessed another incident of the creeping fascism in the Bay Area. The bus I was on in San Francisco came to a stop, I saw cops standing outside and then these mutant ticket police came on board and demanded that everyone present their proof of payment. Outside stood the cops in case there was any trouble. One woman was removed from the bus. We were held there about 5 minutes. Not a long time but still – detainment. Why was I the only one complaining? People just comply. Well, if you don’t the thug cop might have to arrest you or you will get a big ticket. Don’t rock the boat of the fascist state. When I witnessed this, it somehow felt like being taken back 75 years to Nazi Germany. For a small infringement – not paying a fare – there is a big police action. There must have been 7 cops or mutant ticket cops. This is part of the creep and people don’t understand. They don’t complain – they just let it creep to the next stage. It is like a cancer growing and no effort is made to stop it. And this is supposed to be the progressive city of San Francisco in the progressive Bay Ara.

Last night (the night before this happened) the Bart train I was on was detained for 10 to 15 minutes by Bart cops at West Oakland station. This has happened frequently in the past few months. One night they closed the Berkeley Bart station and would not let us off the train – we had to go to another station. Someone had robbed someone, they said. Well, my thought is – who am I more in danger from – the robber or the BART cops? Seems like the BART cops have killed several people and are known for disrespect and brutality. They haven’t changed that much since Oscar Grant was killed. Now they say Mehserle is trying to have his case overturned. Will they try to bring him back to the BART police force? You know some of them would love that.

UC police have been brutalizing non-violent protesters. Oakland police and their mercenaries from the Alameda County Sheriff’s department and other police agencies have almost killed several people in their violent attacks against Occupy. Meanwhile, the mainstream politicians and their media outlets have been able paint Occupy as the violent ones in the feeble minds of the mainstream public. Is the 1% really the only group holding back something better? No it is the feebleness, the helplessness, the hopelessness of so much of the rest of us 99%. Wouldn’t the system love it if we all became total addicts of some sort – totally weakened so they can totally control us.

Now we are going to have drones monitoring us. The federal government has their ICE teams, raids marijuana outlets, pushes new and violent technologies onto local communities. Everything becomes para-military, SWAT. Communities have no rights to know about the actions of police in their communities – it is a “personnel” issue when we want to know. Meanwhile, they continue as an invading force. Most of them don’t live in the communities they police.

What will they do to us? It seems like if they are well paid and taken care of by their handlers, they are willing to do anything. Cops seem to have become a mutant form of humanity willing to obey any order of authority. Seeming to delight in violence – they are forms of psychotic human drones. This is what happens when we refer to anyone as our “finest.” Well, they are the finest for the 1%. They will beat, maim and kill for their masters. They are good beasts.

Meanwhile, San Francisco and the Bay Area touts itself as so, so progressive. I would say so, so manipulative. Able to have their cake and eat it too. Government here functions in many of the same ways it functions everywhere else and we know that like in those other places, the system is designed to benefit the politicians and their friends. But yea, if they can make the public think it is a progressive place, well that’s very cool magic. The public seems so eager to drink the kool-aid.
